During the workshop, you'll enjoy premium Uji matcha sourced from Kyoto—Japan's most celebrated tea-growing region. Guided by a friendly English-speaking Japanese instructor, you'll learn not only how to prepare matcha from scratch but also the proper way to appreciate and enjoy it, just as it has been practiced for centuries.

Step into our traditional Kyoto machiya and begin your journey with a warm welcome from your English-speaking Japanese instructor.

2. Discover the World of Matcha
Learn about the history of Japanese tea culture, the story of Uji matcha, and the philosophy behind the tea ceremony.

3. Prepare Your Own Matcha
Using authentic tea utensils, you'll learn the traditional way to whisk premium Uji matcha under the guidance of your instructor.

4. Enjoy Matcha & Wagashi
Relax and savour your freshly prepared matcha together with seasonal vegan wagashi in the peaceful atmosphere of Yorimichiya.

5. Questions & Cultural Conversation
